Arena Series fun runs 2023 CSR

Arena Group Junior and Mini Events are back for 2023

For over 10 years, Arena Group has supported local events to encourage young people to take part in healthy exercise regardless of ability or background, including those with disabilities and other special considerations. These events also provide a much-needed fundraising boost for a number of deserving local and national charities.

These accessible-to-all events remain a positive, inclusive and welcoming experience for all those taking part, and are organised by Run For All as part of the legacy of Jane Tomlinson CBE.

The programme for 2023 is now confirmed as:

  • Arena Group Lincoln Mini and Junior run (Sunday 16th April)

  • Arena Group Leeds Mini and Junior run (Sunday 18th June)

  • Arena Group York Mini and Junior run (Sunday 6th August)

  • Arena Group Sheffield Mini and Junior run (Sunday 24th September)

  • Arena Group Bury Mini and Junior run (Sunday 1st October)

All Junior and Mini events vary in distance from 1.5km to 2.5km, with a fun-warm up, high fives from the crowd, the support of race mascot Arena Owl, and a fantastic atmosphere. To celebrate their achievements, all children and juniors will be rewarded with a goody bag and medal at the finish line.

Arena Group is looking to increase participation with 150 free entries to local schools in Lincoln, Bury, York, Leeds and Sheffield. Schools should get in contact with Run For All directly to redeem these entries.

The sponsorship forms a vital part of Arena Group’s wider aims to support key community-based initiatives. Gary Putson, Managing Director at Arena Group, said: “The entire Arena team are proud to continue this partnership that enables so many young people to get involved in healthy, fun exercise every year on the streets of Leeds, York, Sheffield, Lincoln and Bury. We look forward to seeing more families, community groups and schools than ever coming together in 2023 to enjoy the buzz of the events cheered on by the Arena Owl mascot and local supporters.”

Kayleigh Dowson, Partnership’s Manager at Run For All, added, “We are delighted to be hosting the Arena Group Mini and Junior events later in the year. With the 10K’s taking place on the same day it will be a fantastic opportunity for adults taking part to make it a family day of fun.”
