Whilst the role of nations in reducing the global impact of climate change at COP26 captured headlines, Xerox was chosen to support the essential print and copying services behind the scenes across the full conference.

As part of the landmark event’s legacy, the Xerox Connectkey printing devices will be refurbished in our local remanufacturing facility and donated to local charities to help extend their life in the local community. This BSI kitemark BS 8887-220:2010 certified facility recognises the process of returning a used product to at least its original performance, with a warranty equivalent to that of a newly manufactured product, and will further minimise environmental impact.

Whilst at COP26, The Prince of Wales announced Xerox as an inaugural recipient of the Terra Carta Seal which recognises global companies that are driving innovation and demonstrating their commitment to creating genuinely sustainable markets. This aligns with the ambitions of the Terra Carta recovery plan for Nature, People and Planet launched in January 2021. “We all need to make changes if we are to preserve the planet for our children and grandchildren and these businesses have pledged to make it easier for us all to do so,” said His Royal Highness.

“At Xerox, we have long believed businesses, like ours, play a critical role in protecting the health of the planet while creating a brighter future for all.,” confirmed John Visentin, Vice Chairman and CEO, Xerox. “We are proud to lead the way in driving sustainable innovation. In doing so, we are helping solve some of the world’s biggest challenges.”

As part of this commitment, Xerox has fast-tracked its net zero goal by 10 years to 2040 in a roadmap outlined in the 2021 Corporate Social Responsibility Report. Improving processes, energy efficiency, designing environmentally responsible products and innovation in clean technologies all feature in this plan.
