Before we had mstore there were folders all over the place. We have sensitive documents to protect so we kept them in locked cabinets but we had no way of telling who had accessed what, or if they had changed things.

“Before we had mstore there were folders all over the place. We have sensitive documents to protect so we kept them in locked cabinets but we had no way of telling who had accessed what, or if they had changed things.”

Schools in the UK are obliged to keep a record of who has accessed some types of documents and for what purpose, for example those pertaining to child protection. This applies to documents kept in both paper and digital format.

mstore enables the school to do this by keeping an automatic audit of activity in the system. Tammy also comments on the time and space saved through adopting mstore; “we file everything electronically now. We used to shred a lot of documents as we could not store them all; it’s reassuring to have everything backed up in case we need it.”

The speed of searching offered by electronic document management has also been of benefit; “it is without doubt quicker and easier to find things in mstore rather than searching through cabinets.”

Tammy has been impressed by mstore and can see the benefits of using it in more departments. “I think it would be good if we could implement mstore throughout the whole school; at the moment it’s just used in Admin and Finance.” Use of mstore supports a paper light way of working in the school’s operational departments.
