ENABLING WHIRLWIND GROWTH

Since launching in 2005, Cornwall-based concrete company Maen Karne has experienced rapid growth to become one of the most regular sights on the region's roads. With a one-man IT team doing a great job at supporting all the technical requirements for this growing company, the workload and expertise required to run Maen Karne became beyond the means of a single person.

"Being overly dependent on just one person for our IT was a threat to our business,” explained Ross FaceyDirector at the company.

This challenge, combined with a lot of outdated, manual, paper-based processes, meant Maen Karne needed support for its growth and to connect their offices.

BESPOKE IT OVERHAUL

Xerox IT Engineers went straight to work and overhauled Maen Karne’s IT infrastructure and started the concrete company’s digital transformation.

Listening to the needs of the customer, a new Mitel VoIP system was also recommended and installed so Maen Karne could analyse their customer phone calls and become number one for customer service.

Account Managers and technical experts trained Maen Karne’s staff so they could feel confident in their new technology and minimise the amount of business disruption.

The impact has been very positive; "We come across far more professionally, our phone systems are now much better and our capacity to handle calls has greatly improved," confirmed Ross
