One fast-growing estate agent is saving thousands of pounds and hours of staff time with smarter direct mail marketing solutions.

In an ever increasingly competitive market with new entrants offering disruptive technology business models, this agency recognised that they needed to be more agile than ever.

Like many high-street estate agents, they had relied on direct marketing to drum up new business. However, an inflexible supplier demanding upfront payment and long term commitment for inaccurate output, the agency acknoweldged that a frsh approach was needed to avoid wasting more money.

Targeted sales letters were also a preferred way to communciate, but this was taking at least one hour of staff time every day and involved laborious printing, stuffing and sealing of up to 20 envelopes a day before taking them to be posted. 

A printing partner that could be trusted to deliver an affordable, bespoke service was the priority. “We wanted to regain control of our marketing and find a better way to do things that took less time and cost less money," confirms the agency sales manager.

Smartbox provides the agency with an online portal to create a marketing campaign in real time and send out carefully tailored material immediately. Using very specific filters, the agency could send out ’20-20’ cards and other marketing material to relevant  contacts within a few clicks.

A microsite is accesible via a QR code that is printed on marketing material to be easily scanned by potential clients.

OfficeMail was also introduced to with the click of a mouse, marketing letters are encrypted and securely printed and posted by  secure third party at the end of the same day. It’s easy, secure and cheaper than the previous approach.

The customer conforms, “As well as saving time, using Office Mail looks more professional and makes it easier to track success rates.”

Thanks to the new system the agency has regained control of its marketing, freed up staff to do other things, and discovered a way to better target potential clients. It’s now also easier to monitor and track the success rate of marketing material that gets sent out. And there's no long-term commitment required as before.

The benefits are proving to be very tanglble too. "We are saving around 10 hours a week of staff time and around £2,000 a year," confirms the agency."
