Arena’s support sees lots more young runners over the line

There’s still time to get the kids involved in this summer’s Arena series of mini, junior and family fun runs. The Bury Family Run takes place in the heart of the town on Sunday 15th September, with the Sheffield mini and junior run taking place the following Sunday, the 22nd September. Both events are organised by Run for All to sit alongside the 10k runs, and provide younger runners a chance to get involved in a competitive event, to raise funds for worthy causes close to their hearts or just to have some fun!

Arena supports 12 of 17 UN sustainable development goals

In 2016, the UN launched a set of 17 measurable Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ranging from ending world poverty to achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls by 2030. Through purchasing Toshiba CarbonZero multi-function printers (MFPs), Arena is supporting 12 of these 17 Goals.

Grandson Mason receives cheque for his school in memory of Neil

Mason Singleton, celebrating his 6th birthday, was joined by his classmates at the end of term assembly to receive a cheque for over £5,200 from Arena Group in memory of his grandad Neil, a keen fundraiser for Lisburne School in Stockport, and former colleague.

Get your trainers on ready for the 2019 Arena mini, junior and family runs!

This year's Arena sponsored series of mini, junior and family runs for 2019 kicked off in Lincoln in April. We’re proud to continue support of these fun runs across the region which began in 2010. Arena’s sponsorship enables everyone between 3 and 14 to run for free, ensuring that young people can take part in these amazing Run for All events regardless of their background or ability.

Mini and junior runners enjoy Jane Tomlinson 10k weekend

Arena Group has supported Run for All since 2010 through sponsorship of the mini, junior and family fun run events to ensure any young person can take part regardless of background or ability. The latest event takes place in Leeds on 7th July as part of the city's Jane Tomlinson's 10k weekend. It's a highlight in the city’s calendar that families and friends can enjoy together, feel the buzz created by the supporters, and develop a passion for being active.

Laura, Arena's HR Manager, reviews a busy year of community activity

To celebrate Arena Group’s 25th year in business, employees pledged to raise £25,000 for local charities between November 2016 and September 2017. The challenge was set at our Annual Profit Share Meeting in November where our employees overwhelmingly chose to support three hospices; Wakefield Hospice, Rotherham Hospice and East Lancashire Hospice. £25,000 can help to pay for 1000 hours of nursing care, 6 bereavement support sessions for 120 people or 4167 patient meals. All of these hospices are local to the Arena office locations and all rely heavily on donations to continue their amazing work in our communities.
