The Leeds 10k weekend went off to a flying start with young people from across the city coming together at the John Charles' athletics track for the Arena Group mini and junior runs. The heat didn't seem to put off the young runners, supporting family and friends, or Arena Owl the event's ever popular mascot enjoying the buzz.

Arena Group has supported Run for All since 2010 through sponsorship of the mini, junior and family fun run events to ensure any young person can take part regardless of background or ability. The latest event takes place in Leeds on 7th July as part of the city's Jane Tomlinson's 10k weekend. It's a highlight in the city’s calendar that families and friends can enjoy together, feel the buzz created by the supporters, and develop a passion for being active.

Hundreds of youngsters are already preparing for the Arena Group Lincoln Mini and Junior Runs to be held in the city on March 17th as part of the popular Lincoln 10k weekend. The Lincoln mini and junior runs mark the start of the season of race events organised by Run for All and sponsored by Arena Group.

To celebrate Arena Group’s 25th year in business, employees pledged to raise £25,000 for local charities between November 2016 and September 2017. The challenge was set at our Annual Profit Share Meeting in November where our employees overwhelmingly chose to support three hospices; Wakefield Hospice, Rotherham Hospice and East Lancashire Hospice. £25,000 can help to pay for 1000 hours of nursing care, 6 bereavement support sessions for 120 people or 4167 patient meals. All of these hospices are local to the Arena office locations and all rely heavily on donations to continue their amazing work in our communities.

Arena Group has been announced as the winner of a prestigious award for customer service excellence. The award bestowed by the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce forms part of the annual Chamber of Commerce business awards which received hundreds of entries across nine categories. Arena is now a contender in the national competition.

Arena has unveiled an array of environmental, health and sustainability targets achieved in a positive impacts report published this month including a total reduction of nearly 14,000 tonnes of CO2. Arena's MD, Adrian Fitzpatrick, also received a certificate from Paul Chiplen from partner CO2balance recently to highlight achievements in the Carbon Zero Programme to date.
