Top Tips: Getting Greener with Arena

Top Tips: Getting Greener with Arena

Environmental awareness is moving up the business agenda and becoming a hot topic for many of our clients and prospects. Increasing numbers of you want to know what our environmental policy is, how we’re working towards reducing our impact on the environment and, most importantly, how we can help you to do the same. For this reason we’ve put together our top tips for getting greener with Arena.

1. Arena is accredited with ISO14001 which means our operations and the products we supply to you are environmentally friendly. Arena has a targeted sustainability policy and an environmental management system that is maintained to help us to reduce our waste and energy consumption. We consider the environmental impact of our entire operation from the green credentials of the suppliers and partners we work with to the fleet cars we drive, the packaging we use and how our waste is recycled or disposed of.

2. We operate a less paper office and our products and services make it possible for you to do the same. Our experts can look at your business and find ways to reduce your carbon footprint using a range of tools from electronic document management, to a more energy efficient mix of print and copy devices and software to reduce unnecessary print and copy jobs.

3. Arena supplies carbon neutral print and copy devices through the Toshiba Carbon Zero Scheme, to reduce your carbon footprint. This is achieved by assisting communities in the third world and the UK in reducing the environmental impact of their activities through green initiatives. An example is a project in Kenya where the supply of energy efficient stoves has reduced firewood consumption by 70%. Owning a Toshiba device associates your brand with this initiative and reduces your carbon footprint.

4. At Arena we take an active interest in the green initiatives of all of our partners in the understanding that our suppliers affect our own environmental impact. Ricoh recently demonstrated its environmental commitment by dedicating the whole of June to activities in support of the United Nations World Environment Day. The focus was upon conserving natural resources, reducing CO2 emissions, promoting biodiversity and encouraging behavioral change.

5. The products we supply are manufactured with the environment in mind. An example of this is Kyocera’s EcoSys philosophy, which demands that products are designed according to sustainable, long-life, low waste principles. Minimal use of materials, recyclability, low energy consumption, standby modes after idle periods and limited emissions are all key considerations.
