Supporting vehicle manufacturers mission for digital transformation

As part of our mstore for automotive programme, Arena is working with a number of vehicle manufacturers on digital transformation projects for their franchised dealerships, to convert paper document processes across sales, service, HR and finance, to digital.

Arena's proven mstore software platform enables OEM partners to meet their key objectives to improve efficiency and profitability within the dealerships, and provide a rapid return on the dealerships' investment by completely eliminating paper document production. 

Improving audit and compliance for both the manufacturer and the dealerships is also key by replacing cumbersome paper-based processes with electronic workflows for processing deal files and service work in progress documents (WIP’s) electronically. mstore also provides audit trails of all activities. By simplifying and reducing the time and cost of manufacturer audit procedures for both parties through electronic audits, these can be completed more quickly, more frequently, either on or off site and in real time. 

Both parties also benefit from improved access to and exchange of critical information that underpin successful operations and optimise the business relationship. Enhancing the customer experience creates a competitive edge and shortens customer journey times through the sales and after salesprocesses. Rapid access to information for fast and effective customer query handling further improve customer experience and satisfaction.

In order to meet these diverse objectives, mstore has been designed to provide:

  • a completely paperless electronic working environment.
  • a single, universal electronic signature solution which can be used either on site or remotely, for all applications.
  • automatic indexing capability that can analyse documents and index them into the correct deal file, service WIP location freeing up people for more important tasks such as customer facing service.
  • the choice of either a client server or web based solution according to customer preference.

To achieve this effectively, documents and data must be captured from the manufacturer's own retail and after sales systems. This is a relatively simple and straightforward process which can be achieved in several different ways without compromising the integrity and security of the manufacturer systems and does not necessarily involve direct integration to deliver the right results. 

With current users of mstore including 3 of the top 10 UK motor groups and others in the top 100 in the UK and Ireland, the mstore for automotive platform is proven for digitisation and delivery of benefits right across the dealership.
