Software for easy-peesy printer management !

When you are busy juggling a plethora of important tasks the last thing you need to worry about is submitting a printer meter reading or sourcing more toner to keep your machine up and running.

Many of our customers utilise leading edge technology that plays a key part in making their print and copy strategy much more efficient, transparent and easy to manage. Our Professional Services Manager, Ian Fox, takes a brief look at the key benefits.

Ship-shape print and copy infrastructure

The software enables you to analyse the activity of machines on your network to see, for example, the print volumes produced by each device. Knowing which machines handle the highest volumes, what percentage of colour is being produced, and where they are located enables us to suggest ways to tweak your infrastructure to gain maximum efficiency. We can even check on the health of your machines and diagnose any mechanical problems remotely. This can all potentially reduce your costs and helps to keep your printers in good working order.

Automated meter readings

This clever technology takes care of meter readings automatically, sending your provider an accurate reading every 5 hours – so you don’t have to do a thing.

Simplified toner management

Toner levels are monitored by the hour. When a device reaches a pre-defined toner level, Arena dispatches a replacement to you.

This means you don’t need to store spare toner cartridges or spend time sourcing the best deal - and there’s no risk of your printers ever running dry.

“We always had to store a lot of spare toner for our printers and we would have one person managing each printer and another storing the toner. The new system has taken out a few layers of administration and management of the printers - freeing people up to focus on their jobs."

Ian Fox joined the Arena Group as a Systems Engineer in 1995. During his time at Arena he has gained a wealth of experience in helping organisations with their document related workflows.
