Corporate Social Responsibility

Our corporate social responsibility (CSR) scheme contributes the time and skills of our volunteers towards community and charity projects, and we actively support key community-based initiatives.

Arena give every employee across the business 2 CSR days a year which they are encouraged to use in working hours to support local charity and community projects. Over the years we’ve spent days helping clear out gardens in disadvantaged areas, supported schools in delivering enterprise projects, raised money for a range of deserving charities and more.

We also support local community initiatives such as Child-Friendly Leeds, Leeds Community Foundation and One in a Million. And as part of the Xerox family, our collective impact is on a global scale with innovation targeting global issues and over 25,000 hours of volunteer time delivered annually.

Global Impact

As a Xerox Business Solutions company, we're also part of a worldwide focus on CSR. Here's the latest Xerox CSR report for 2022.

Charitable efforts

Every year Arena Group chooses a different charity to support. In recent years, we've focused our efforts on local air ambulance services and hospices, cooking up an inspiring variety of ways to raise money on their behalf.

From cake baking to footie tournaments, Tough Mudders to knitting, the push to support such worthy causes touch people right across the business. To support our employees' efforts, Arena matches the funds raised by employees' contributions to increase the total that the charity receives!

In 2016 we celebrated our 25th anniversary, and to mark the year, we set a target of raising £25,000 for local hospices. In the end we raised over £32,000 which was split across Wakefield Hospice, East Lancashire Hospice, and Rotherham Hospice! We took part in a diverse range of fundraising activities from raffles and cake bakes to marathons, Tough Mudder and a team skydive which alone raised over £11,000.

Keeping fitness fun and inclusive

We are the proud sponsors of the Arena Group Fun Runs, paying entry fees for young people to ensure background is never a barrier to taking part.

Since 2010 Arena have been sponsoring the Run for All mini, junior and family runs, which have now been rebranded to Fun Runs, enabling young people to participate for free. These runs are made to be entirely inclusive to attract people from all ages and backgrounds, regardless of ability. We even have a mascot, Arena Owl, who goes out to support our activities and champions our values.

These annual events, which take place in Leeds, Lincoln, York, Bury and Sheffield, are not to be missed! Sign up for a Fun Run near you here.
