Scanning Bureau
We invested in a dedicated Bureau facility in May 2001 to assist our customers with their initial document management implementation. This service speeds up the labour intensive process of scanning and indexing historical documents, for example a previous year's purchase invoices.
We also provide this service on a weekly/monthly basis for customers who don't want the capital expenditure required for the purchase and maintenance of high volume scanners and imaging software.
Our trained Bureau staff can quickly and efficiently process your documents at a fraction of the normal cost. The scanned images can be delivered on CD/DVD or transferred into your M-store system remotely.
Costs can vary from 2p to 25p per document depending on the level of indexing or processing required. To assess likely costs we ask that you provide us with a sample batch of representative documents for us to process and calculate the fee.
The service can include:
Document collection and delivery
Collection of documents from your own site and prompt return or secure disposal.
Document preparation
Removal of staples, clips etc, straightening and flattening of "rogue" sheets of paper.
High speed duplex* color or b/w scanning
Full OCR (optical Character Regognition including handwritten data) and OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) software processing.
Indexing
From basic keyed index such as date or customer to complex multi indexing and barcode indexing.
Verification and quality control
Sample batch review, software verification, manual quality checks. 100% QA available. Automated or manual blank page removal.
