Transmit

Automate mass document transmission.

Transmit provides a simple and effective method for sending documents such as remittance advices, invoices and statements automatically to your trading partners.

The transmit module sits behind our COLD capture module which archives batches of documents printed from your host computer system. Transmit holds a pre-determined route and contact for each document type in its own control file. The route is the method of transmission, such as e-mail, electronic fax or print, and the contacts are the names and e-mail addresses or fax numbers of the recipients. Reformatting the layouts and sequence of these reports is simplified by using Transmit. Your documents can be stored, sorted, and accumulated to be transmitted periodically as a batch, for example enabling invoices to be sent weekly to a customer.

The Transmit process

• Data is captured from existing systems and transferred from a standard print spool file into M-store using automatic indexing.
• Captured data is split up into the relevant pages for individual transactions within the print file.
• Documents are added to the Transmit queue and dispatched immediately or at a specified time dependent on their "send priority".
• Queued items can be viewed any time and be changed and resent if required with all modifications being recorded within a transmission history file.

If your customers and suppliers can accept documents by e-mail and electronic fax, M-store Transmit provides an efficient and cost-effective method of submission, whilst still allowing for the printing of documents to be sent to those who prefer paper copies.
